RESUME OF THE PROJECT

Our six-day international seminar about fair trade and the environment will explore the root causes of the social and environmental injustices of international trade and of production and consumption patterns, and explore critically the alternative of fair trade around the world through informal and non-formal methods of learning. The focus will be also on the environmental aspects and the current challenges that the movement is facing. Environmental aspects have always been an element of fair and solidarity trade, however, the issue has only recently been getting increased attention. Important part of the seminar will be also education of volunteers in interactive methods of teaching (learning by doing), sharing their experiences and improvement of their communication and teaching skills for their future voluntary work. The general aim of the seminar is to raise awareness among young people about these issues and to encourage them to undertake a positive and active role as citizens at a local, national and international level. It is also an attempt to keep contact with all of our partners from the network and to work together to achieve a common goal. The seminar will be held in Craiova city, Romania from 07th December to 14th December 2013 and it will have 8 partners from: Romania, Belgium, Greece, Turkey, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Italy.
