“Volunteer to Help” project brought together 25 international volunteers who made a strong impact at local, national, and European levels.
The project significantly expanded blood donation campaigns (+80%), transforming them into ongoing community initiatives, and increased youth and school involvement in promoting active citizenship by 50%. Three new local partnerships were established (Adina Siftleson Foundation, Petre Pandrea Library, Nicolae Romanescu Secondary School), extending activities to disadvantaged youth, schools, and community spaces. Volunteers played a key role in strengthening civic engagement, especially in the context of the post-pandemic period and the war in Ukraine, contributing to humanitarian aid efforts and turning VPC into a support hub. Their work raised awareness about blood donation, healthy lifestyles, and solidarity, with long-term effects on community behavior.
The project also generated strong multiplier effects: over 520 young people were trained through non-formal education, local volunteer networks were strengthened, and best practices in blood donation and civic engagement were shared nationally and across Europe.
