The Youth Strategy of the city Craiova brings the local approach to the attention of the citizens
regarding the support and involvement of young people in the community, starting from the needs identified by them and proceeding with necessary directions to solve these needs.
Strategic vision:
The youth sector is strengthened and recognized as an important area in development of local community, valuing the maximum potential of all young people and improving their quality of life. The youth strategy creates a bridge of link between the community and the youth, pushing them to work together, adopt and develop knowledge. This way young people are supported to get actively involved and make a major contribution in society, realizing that they have a voice.
Mission:
The mission consists in empowering the youth sector, public institutions, the environment of
business and organizational environment, in order to develop the municipality of Craiova into a city of
young people actively involved in the life of the community, a city where they are aware of the role they
have in the community. Corroborating the actions of these sectors will lead to the development of initiatives and sustainable projects, aimed at meeting the current and future needs of young people from Craiova, clearly measurable consequences on their social, personal and professional development.
General objective:
Consolidation of the youth sector by regulating the legal framework for youth activities and by promoting the participation of young people in decision-making processes with the goal to develop the youth sector whose policies are adapted to the real needs of young people including the development of economic opportunities for them.
