Our vision is for young people and children from the Oltenia region to be active participants in society, to have developed a sense of solidarity for the community, while having access to non-formal learning opportunities, which will later ensure a career corresponding to their potential .

Our mission is to contribute to the personal and professional development of young people and children, as well as to their education and culture, especially the non-formal one, so that they become active and responsible citizens.

Our overall objectives are:

  • involvement in identifying and solving the problems faced by young people in the community
  • the development of support programs for the social inclusion of disadvantaged groups
  • offering opportunities for non-formal education and professional training for volunteers and youth workers
  • promoting local and international volunteering as a tool for change and social inclusion
  • defending human rights and European values ​​and promoting them among young people and children in the community
  • facilitating cultural exchange and European values ​​between young people from all over the world

The main target group is made up of young people (80%) and children (20%).

  • Young people involved in local volunteering, especially within student associations

  • Young people and children who fall into the category of young people with limited opportunities
  • Children from disorganized or institutionalized families

The main activities carried out by our association are

  1. Activities within the European Solidarity Corps
  • Hosting and sending volunteers, especially in projects with the theme of community involvement such as “blood donation”, “resource sharing”, “promotion of active citizenship”, “antibullying in schools”
  • Active participation in the informal national network ESC/CES Network, initiated by FITT Timisoara, as well as in the events organized by AN
  1. Activities within Erasmus Plus mobility
  • Sending and hosting participants, both young people and youth workers, focused on European citizenship, the development of employability skills, healthy life and sport.
  1. Local and regional activities
  • Managing the youth HUB “Volunteering for the Community” and providing the necessary support to informal groups of young people in the implementation of their own ideas
  • Participation in the decision making for youth within the Consultative Council on Youth Problems in the City Hall of Craiova, ANDCTR being a founding member
  • Educational support activities for children and young people from disadvantaged groups
  • Sports activities to encourage sports among young people and children
  • Blood donation awareness campaigns at the regional level and the organization of mobile blood donations in partnership with the Craiova Blood Transfusion Center and the Doneaza Speranta Association
  • Campaigns to raise funds or resources, targeted for specific cases, in partnership with the “Life is better with friends” Association
  • Member of the informal ESC/CES Network initiated by FITT Timisoara
  • Participation in the annual volunteering event organized by AN
  • Participation in networking seminars within the E+ and CES programs

Examples of activities for youth from our annual plan regarding the CES program:

  • The organization of the “Volunteering Festival” in Craiova, reached its 7th edition (mainly two editions per year)
  • Development of activities and events by and for youth at HUB VPC and space for spending free time in the creative environment
  • Management of the VPC HUB as a resource center for youth activities and a link between stakeholders at the local level
  • Monthly sports activities during March – October in collaboration with DJST Dolj for the promotion of sport
  • Organization of 4 blood donation campaigns (one campaign every 3 months) in Craiova and information campaigns on the importance of blood donation in the Oltenia region
  • On-going activities to promote European programs, especially E+ and CES, and inform young people about the opportunities offered, including support in writing applications for these opportunities
  • Annual hosting of an average number of 35 international volunteers
  • Promotion of non-formal education through local activities
  • The development of entrepreneurship skills, social media, foreign languages ​​and not only for local and international volunteers, as well as for children from the educational program carried out in partnership with schools and high schools in the Oltenia region.
